Final Exam Spring 2017

Hello there. Perhaps you have a math final May 8th at 8am. If you do, and you’d like to study for it, here are some important pieces of information.

I have office hours Wednesday 5/3 from 12-2pm in Smith 222.

I have two review sessions: Friday 5/5 from 1-3pm and Sunday 5/7 from 9-11am both in Carnegie 100.

You can practice old final exams here.

Please reach out to me if you are unsure about where or when your final is, or if you are unsure how to best spend your study time. I would be happy to recommend some techniques to learn the material and ensure your best performance!

Exam 1 Review

Here is a list or problems out of your textbook to prepare you for exam 1. I recommend doing these fully on paper to be sure you actually know how to do them. Please do not confuse your ability to understand a solution with your ability to come up with a solution!

We will go over requested questions on Thursday in descending order of most requested.

Chapter 6 Review pg. 363:

Exercises: 1, 3, 9, 15, 17, 27, 16, 24, 26, 37, 36

Chapter 7 Review pg. 422:

Exercises: 14, 57, 13, 14, 24

In addition, being able to do all the written homework problems and quiz problems is a good place to be before the exam!

End of Semester!

Hi all,

I will have extra office hours for the end of the semester: Saturday 12/10 from 12-1pm and Monday 12/12 from 10am-12pm.  As always, my office is in Archbold 105B.

I will also have a review/problem session Tuesday 12/13 from 10am-1pm in Carnegie 115. There you can work on problems and I will hold a review for the last hour.
